MIM-PI : WELCOME TO THE SECRET GARDEN

"Mim-pi summer collection 2010 invites you to the "The Secret Garden" to spread happiness.

The news is not always about crises and troubles. The new summer collection of the sweet hip girlsbrand MIM-PI brings with it a breath of fresh air.

So..........
"Smile and the world smiles with you"

The theme of the collection is "The Secret Garden. "

It is sweet and hip...... in dreamy soft candy colours reminding you of those
lovely cakes and pastries which bring a smile to your face.

The communion group is a romantic one with inwoven
dots with old fashioned cross stitch embroideries in roses, birds
and hearts, like our Granny's use to make with great tender loving care...

The summer coat is inspired by the movie "Grease" where the girl
friends of Sandra Dee wore pink satin jackets with
"The Pinky Girls" embroidered at the back and one had to be special
to be wearing it ....... and now we have the MIM-PI gang.

There is a special edition skirt made of saris in differrent colours,
the cloth that Indian women wear (5 meter long). Because the skirts
are made from different sari's ....not one skirt is the same!!!!

A one of a kind ....... Just like your child.

MIM-PI : The story of Blythe....
It all started in 1972 when designer Marvin Glass and Associates, designed the Blythe doll. She was introduced to the market by the toy manufacturer 'Kenner', who after only a years production run, ceased making the doll. Blythe's big head, with her changing colour eyes, was too scary for children of the time. Later, its failure was analysed, concluding that the Blythe was too far ahead of her time!

The years went by. Then Gina Garan, a Photographer and TV Producer, was introduced to Blythe by a friend. She instantly fell in love with the doll, and from that moment on, she went everywhere she could to photograph original examples of the doll. In 2000, Blythe was re-introduced to a huge audience, this time via a popular photo book called "This is Blythe", which was produced by Gina, and contained a collection of artistic photos of Blythe. From this new exposure, Blythe was suddenly found an adoring new audience of girls and women, including people in the fashion world, who saw a future for her.

What was initially an unpopular toy, had now made a comeback. To cater for this worldwide interest, hundreds of internet sites have emerged, showing Blythe in all her glory. A one of a kind doll, with not only her own collection of accessories, clothing sets, wigs, etc., but 1,000's of beautiful photo's taken by her owners.
Blythe has now achieved cult status...
